We are very excited about our athletic program which includes Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track for 7th and 8th graders. We believe this will offer our students a chance to experience the excitement, hard work, and competition that sports can offer.
Before your son or daughter can participate, we would like for you to read, sign, and return the attached forms to the school.
All players must meet the grade requirements established by the State of Texas. Students failing classes will not be allowed to play or travel with the team; but can practice.
When completing insurance information, if applicable include Insurance company, Policy number, and Group number.
All students wishing to participate in UIL athletic activities are required to receive a physical examination entering the first year in junior high athletics by a licensed physician of your choice. Please use the UIL Physical Examination form included. The UIL Pre-participation Physical Evaluation-Medical History form must be completed annually by the athlete’s parent/guardian. Students will not be allowed to participate in after/before school practice or in games or meets until all paperwork has been completed, signed and turned in to coaches.
For out of town UIL events, students will be provided transportation by school bus. Students will be allowed to ride home with their parents, but we ask that they sign out with one of our coaches in order to keep track of our athletes. Students will not be allowed to ride with anyone other than their parents, unless with written consent from a parent or guardian prior to the trip.
We hope this will be a successful program and a lot of fun for our students. If you have any questions, please call me at 903-838-6006.
