| What's New at Red Lick School
We are in the new middle school building and loving it! It is
approximately 55,000 square feet of “GORGEOUS” with 12 spacious classrooms;
including 2 large science labs and an equally sizeable art room. There is a
full-size, regulation gymnasium with seating for 500, a centrally located cafetorium, roomy band hall, distinctive library, computer lab, and office
complex.
Comparison of Budget Summaries for 2005-06 and 2006-07

- Construction on our storage building has been completed!
Used primarily for maintenance equipment and storage of supplies,
this building covers 3,000 square feet and houses a large,
fireproof vault for records. It is located on the south side of
the main campus.
- Additional land has been purchased by Red Lick ISD! This new
acquisition of one acre and a house will provide previously
purchased land with another access to FM 2148. Plans are in effect
currently to rent the house.
- Check out our radio station! Red Lick's Mustang Radio is
located at 90.3 on your FM dial. Its primary purpose is to
improve school-to-patron communication and due to FCC
regulations, it is intended to only reach the area around our
campus. When you are driving by our school, right through the
heart of Red Lick, you'll pick us up! During the school year,
different kids will read their essays, poetry, and maybe their TAAS writing samples…or tell you about a new book they've
read. We have lots of things happening at Red Lick School and
our Mustang Radio Station will help us tell you all about it. So
this year, when you are arriving at school in the morning or
while Mom and Dad are waiting to pick you up in the afternoon,
tell them to please tune in to FM 90.3. It's a great way for
parents to catch up on school news while waiting!
- We need your help in enforcing our dress code. As the style of
shorts has changed, our girls have begun to wear shorts much
shorter than our present dress code allows. Skirts, pants,
shorts must be of sufficient length that they cover the leg to at
least 4 inches from the bend of the knee. No tank tops or short tops exposing
skin are allowed.
- It has been our policy to handle dress code problems in a
very practical and reasonable manner. Please see that your
child is always dressed appropriately for school. Thank you
for your assistance in this manner.
