July 29, 2009 The Red Lick I. S. D. Board of Trustees met in regular
session on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at
6:30 P. M. in the Middle School cafeteria.
The following Board members were present: Todd Martin, President;
Mark Patterson, Vice-
President, and Jim Davenport, Secretary. Others Present: Rose Mary
Neshyba, Superintendent.
On a motion by Mark Patterson and seconded by Jim Davenport, the
Board unanimously
approved the minutes of the previous meeting.
The Board discussed the Legislative Update which included the
elimination of required
passing of 3rd grade TAKS Reading test for promotion purposes. The
Superintendent’s report
included information on required school board training hours, the
plan for a district audit of
the gifted and talented program, and the timeline for adopting the
tax rate and the 2009-1010
budget.
The Board moved from open session to closed session to discuss the
following:
A. Posting check register on-line
B. Student Code of conduct
C. PDAS calendar and appraisers
D. Consultant Agreement
E. Property Insurance
F. TASB on-line policy
The Board returned to open session.
On a motion by Jim Davenport and seconded by Mark Patterson, the
Board unanimously
approved posting the check register on-line.
On a motion by Jim Davenport and seconded by Mark Patterson the Board
unanimously
approved the Student Code of Conduct.
On a motion by Mark Patterson and seconded by Jim Davenport, the
Board unanimously
approved the PDAS calendar and appraisers.
On a motion by Mark Patterson and seconded by Jim Davenport, the
Board unanimously
agreed to suspend the Consultant Agreement, with Todd Martin stating
that a contracted
services arrangement would be created if needed.
On a motion by Jim Davenport and seconded by Mark Patterson the Board
unanimously
agreed to accept the Property Insurance offered by Offenhauser.
On a motion by Jim Davenport and seconded by Mark Patterson, the
Board unanimously
approved the TASB on-line policy.
