Current Position:

This is my 20th year to teach!  WOW! I can't believe it has been that long! 18 of those years have been at Red Lick.  I absolutely LOVE teaching!  The relationships I develop with my students each year keep me coming back for more! Also, I work with the most wonderful teachers who all are also teaching for the right reasons.  We have an awesome team in 2nd grade, they keep me motivated and uplifted every day.  I don't know what I would do without Debbie Lavender and Marilyn Blevins, they are the best team-mates ever! And of course Gayle Brewington has been an inspiration to me in my teaching career.  I miss her so much!  Second Grade ROCKS!!!

Family Information:

I have been married to Vince Minter (Texas High Coach) for 31 years.  We have two children, Cydney, age 24, and Weston, age 22.  The most exciting event in our family right now is that we are preparing for a wedding in November! Our daughter Cydney recently got engaged to Kolton Saulsbury. YAY!!  We love him and are excited for him to join our family!  My son Weston is starting his senior year at the University of Arkansas!  YAY!!  He will graduate with a double major in Marketing and Finance next spring!  I have one dog, a weimaraner, named Kinsler, and a big, fluffy cat named Myles.  Our family is very blessed!

Personal Information:

When not teaching, I like to relax at home with my family!  I treasure the moments when both my children are home and we are sharing a family dinner with their families!!  If you are a parent of small children...Cherish and appreciate these days, because believe me, before you know it, they will be starting lives of their own! The most exciting part of my life is my husband and I became grandparents to my a precious baby girl, Saylor Mae!  Congratulations to our daughter Cydney and her husband Kolton Saulsbury.
